Our client, a trending Apparel Brand, is seeking a Director of Brand Strategy to join their team! This is a foundational, senior-level role for someone who can own the brand end-to-end—from big-picture positioning to hands-on execution across every consumer touchpoint.


You won’t just lead campaigns. You’ll build the strategic engine that powers narrative, community, and long-term brand equity in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.


What You’ll Own

  • Define and own the end-to-end brand strategy, roadmap, and positioning across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Translate ambitious growth targets into clear, compelling, and disruptive brand narratives.
  • Create and codify brand guardrails that ensure consistency while still enabling fast-paced experimentation and iteration.
  • Lead cultural storytelling that builds deep emotional connection, loyalty, and community advocacy.
  • Shape and articulate the brand’s voice, values, and cultural point of view to stand out in a crowded market.
  • Engineer narratives that resonate with a core community while consistently attracting and converting new audiences.
  • Champion a community-first mindset, treating community as a core growth lever rather than a channel.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Growth, Retention & Loyalty, Social, and CX to drive authentic two-way engagement.
  • Identify, activate, and mobilize brand advocates, creators, and key cultural moments to maximize impact.
  • Own high-impact collaborations—from sourcing partners to steering high-visibility launches.
  • Ensure every partnership is authentic, on-brand, and culturally aligned.
  • Bring an entrepreneurial creative eye to brand campaigns, social content, and experimental channels.
  • Partner with Creative to move quickly from concept to execution, ensuring social platforms feel like immersive brand experiences.
  • Define and track brand health metrics, community engagement, and cultural impact, tying brand building to commercial performance.
  • Manage budgets thoughtfully while maximizing creative output and cultural relevance.


What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of hands-on brand strategy or brand marketing experience, ideally within apparel or DTC.
  • Proven track record building and scaling a brand in a high-growth, high-ambiguity environment.
  • A true builder who is equally comfortable crafting long-term strategy and rolling up your sleeves to execute.
  • Expertise in community-led marketing and using social platforms as engines for brand building, not just media channels.
  • Demonstrated success developing powerful brand storytelling and launching impactful collaborations.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: highly collaborative, resourceful, and confident making decisions with imperfect information.
