Accountabilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with organizational mission, vision, and values.
- Craft internal and external messaging that connects emotionally and resonates with diverse audiences.
- Lead internal communications programs to inform, inspire, and engage employees across all levels.
- Manage leadership communications, company-wide updates, and signature events.
- Oversee earned media strategies to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
- Support senior leadership on major initiatives, community partnerships, and crisis communication planning.
- Represent the organization at community events, conferences, and external engagements.
- Monitor media and social channels, advising leadership on emerging issues and response strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or media relations.
- 6–8 years of leadership experience managing communications teams or initiatives.
- Proven ability in internal communications, brand storytelling, and media engagement.
- Exceptional writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience advising senior leadership and managing complex communication challenges with discretion.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism.
- Ability to foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Master’s degree in Communications or related field.
- Experience in financial services, cooperative, or community-focused industries.
- Familiarity with omnichannel communication strategies including digital, social, and in-person engagement.
- Experience in advocacy or public affairs communications.
