We are looking for an impactful Automotive Sales Development Director to lead our global customer strategy, harmonize cross‑regional efforts, and champion fossil‑free transformation.

About The Position

Drive SSAB’s premium and fossil‑free automotive growth by leading customer strategy, executive engagement, and cross‑functional collaboration with OEMs and Tier 1s. Ensure our portfolio (AHSS/Docol®, SSAB Zero, fossil‑free steel) matches global platform needs and supports long‑term, profitable growth. This role defines the strategic direction—while regional teams execute daily commercial activities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the Global Automotive Customer Strategy Develop a 12–36 month roadmap covering platform needs, portfolio fit, and growth opportunities.
  • Drive Strategic Engagement with OEM Executives Lead key executive meetings to secure co‑development and preferred‑supplier status.
  • Orchestrate Global Accounts Assign global account ownership and consolidate regional insights into unified, customer‑focused plans.
  • Oversee Growth Planning & Pipeline Governance Maintain a rolling 24‑month growth plan with clear pursuits, stage‑gates, forecasting discipline, and strong follow‑up with Regional Sales Directors.
  • Value‑Based Selling Develop and formalize value narratives—safety, lightweighting, sustainability, reliability.
  • Fossil‑Free Leadership Integrate fossil‑free partner commitments into OEM strategies.

About You

  • Proven experience in global automotive sales, business development, or OEM engagement.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to lead cross-functional and multi-regional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated capability in value-based selling and account orchestration.
  • Passion for sustainability and fossil‑free transformation in the automotive sector.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder leadership, and execution discipline.
  • This role requires up to 60% travel
