This field-based role sits at the intersection of oncology science, strategic engagement, and external stakeholder collaboration, focusing on building and strengthening relationships with leading oncology thought leaders across academic centers and community practices. You will play a key role in shaping scientific exchange strategies within solid tumor oncology, with a particular emphasis on Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer. Acting as a critical connector between external experts and internal teams, you will translate insights into actionable strategies that inform marketing, medical, and commercial direction. The role requires strong scientific fluency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate in a highly cross-functional, fast-paced environment. You will support high-impact initiatives such as advisory boards, speaker programs, and congress engagements. This is a highly visible position where strategic influence and scientific credibility directly impact oncology innovation and customer engagement.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key oncology thought leaders across academic institutions and leading community practices within the assigned geography.
  • Engage in scientific and business discussions, sharing on-label product information, disease insights, and broader oncology landscape updates.
  • Gather and synthesize insights from external experts and communicate findings to internal teams including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, and Market Access.
  • Coordinate and support thought leader engagement strategies across national, regional, and local conferences and scientific forums.
  • Assist in the development and execution of speaker programs, including identification, onboarding, training, and performance feedback for speakers.
  • Support advisory board planning and execution, including identifying participants and managing engagement logistics.
  • Ensure all external interactions comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in a scientific or healthcare-related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, ideally across Thought Leader Liaison, field sales, brand marketing, or medical/clinical roles.
  • Strong background in oncology, preferably with expertise in hematology and/or solid tumors such as NSCLC.
  • Solid understanding of pharmaceutical marketing strategies and scientific communication within regulated environments.
  • Strong ability to simplify complex scientific information and communicate it clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects and collaborating across cross-functional teams in matrix environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to engage senior-level external stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (60-80%).
