Position: Agriculture Expert

Type: Contract

Compensation: $72–$80/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Author and review technical tasks to evaluate AI model performance on agricultural sciences problems.
• Produce original problem sets grounded in crop figures, soil profiles, yield charts, and field imagery.
• Write reference solutions and apply structured quality checks to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to improve training data quality and performance.
• Work independently and asynchronously with a flexible schedule.
  
  
  

Qualifications

Must-Have

• PhD in Agricultural Sciences or related field, or MS with 3+ years applied research, extension, or industry experience, or BS with 5+ years applied farming, extension, or agribusiness experience.
• Working fluency in at least two of: agronomy, soil science, animal science, agricultural economics, plant pathology.
• Comfortable reading and interpreting crop figures, soil profiles, yield charts, and field imagery.
• Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form.
