About The Role

The Administrative and Technical Support role is a vital position designed to provide comprehensive administrative and technical assistance to department leaders and their teams. This role involves managing calendars, coordinating meetings, scheduling surgical procedures, and offering general administrative support to ensure smooth departmental operations. The position operates with basic guidance, allowing for a progressive increase in independence as the incumbent gains familiarity with responsibilities. Initially, the role will require on-site presence, but upon successful completion of training, it will transition to a fully remote position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment. The role offers an opportunity to develop a broad skill set while contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 03+ years of relevant administrative experience required
  • Prior experience working in a matrixed organization or complex work environment is a plus
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Professionalism and ability to navigate difficult conversations effectively

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and clinic staff to facilitate smooth operations
  • Schedule patient cases accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coordination across departments
  • Manage calendars for department leaders, including scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure seamless scheduling of surgical procedures and administrative workflows
  • Provide general administrative support such as document preparation, data entry, and correspondence management
  • Assist in organizing departmental meetings, including logistics and documentation
  • Operate with increasing independence, handling tasks with minimal supervision over time
  • Support technical needs related to administrative tools and systems as required
