2. About the Opportunity:
The Administrative Assistant provides essential operational and administrative support to the General Counsel and the legal team. This role ensures smooth functioning of legal and compliance operations by managing schedules, communications, documents, and project tracking. The position is critical for maintaining efficiency within the legal office and supporting broader organizational objectives through effective task and information management.
3. Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to the General Counsel and legal team, including scheduling, expense reports, time sheets, travel coordination, and membership management
• Draft and revise legal documents and correspondence as requested
• Create and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
• Maintain an organized work plan with timelines, document indexing, and standard operating procedures
• Manage operational and project communications for key initiatives
• Support budget tracking, including handling invoices, purchase orders, reconciliations, and approvals
• Prioritize and manage incoming mail and phone calls, making initial contact decisions and drafting correspondence
• Review all communications for accuracy in terminology, spelling, punctuation, and grammar
• Perform other assigned duties as needed
4. Requirements:
• High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced office environment, preferably as a legal assistant or similar role
• Demonstrated project management execution and accountability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced setting
• Strong critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills
• Professional demeanor with confidentiality and integrity
• Service-oriented and proactive attitude
• Ability to anticipate legal team needs
• Punctual and reliable
• Notary Public credential is a plus
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Pay rate: $28 to $34 per hour, depending on experience
