*This position is not remote. We have multiple onsite locations across the Germany for our client.
For our client, a well-established company in Germany, we are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance and accounting team.
Salary Range: €50,000 – €80,000 per annum + Bonus (depending on experience and qualifications)
Location: Germany (Multiple Locations) - On-site / Hybrid (depending on company requirements)
Your Responsibilities:-
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper bookkeeping in accordance with German accounting standards.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger balances.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with German GAAP (HGB) and tax regulations.
- Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Prepare VAT returns and other statutory financial reports
- Monitor financial transactions and identify discrepancies
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accountant, Financial Accountant, or Bookkeeper.
- Strong knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB) and tax regulations.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., DATEV, SAP, or similar systems).
- Good analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Fluent German language skills required; English is a plus.
- Professional certifications (e.g., Bilanzbuchhalter) are an advantage
