2) Covering the Amsterdam and Randstad regions


The roles are home based with travel across the regions you cover and the wider Netherlands when needed.


Job Purpose

Internally you are called Client Relationship Manager your key responsibilities are looking for new business and managing a client portfolio to grow their business with Avendra International. Your job is to advice (hospitality) clients and prospects about the solutions our suppliers offer and show your added value by analyzing costs and identify savings in their current supplier portfolio. Building a strong relationship with client and supplier stakeholders is key.


You will be the key link between our hospitality clients and suppliers. Your goal is to help your portfolio and new prospects to maximize their purchasing benefits. Working independently from home, you will regularly visit clients in your region and attend meetings in Belgium and the Netherlands.


Key responsibilities

  • Prospection – Identify and engage potential new clients by researching market opportunities, building relationships, and presenting tailored procurement solutions
  • Relationship management – Maintain and expand relationships with existing hospitality clients.
  • Identifying New Opportunities – Analyse client needs and provide advice on cost savings and efficient procurement strategies.
  • Realise growth – Gain and maintain a deep insight into client culture, challenges, and risks, fully evaluating their needs to identify opportunities for purchasing growth within each client.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting – Monitor, analyse, and translate purchasing data into strategic recommendations.
  • Market Insights – Identify and apply industry trends to enhance procurement strategies.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Independent and proactive, but also a team player in an international environment.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills: you know how to help clients save costs without compromising quality
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and CRM-systems
  • Customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others and remain calm under pressure
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in account management, sales, or procurement, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
  • Further European languages would be an advantage – French/German
  • Experience within a GPO (Group Purchasing Organization) is a strong plus.
