Role Description
Lightbits is experiencing unprecedented growth, and we are looking for a high-energy, results-driven Account Executive to take over and expand our most critical European & India accounts.
In this role, you will inherit a portfolio of strategic customers which includes large eCommerce providers, Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and Neocloud builders.. Your responsibility is to act as the ultimate growth engine for these accounts by driving customer success, accelerating product adoption, and significantly expanding our footprint. You will bridge the gap between technical reality and business strategy, ensuring our customers extract maximum value from our solutions while driving continuous revenue growth for Lightbits. Location: Based in Europe, with a strong preference for the Netherlands to easily access key data center hubs.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Account Expansion: Take ownership of existing top-tier eCommerce, CSP and Neocloud accounts. Build and execute strategic account plans to accelerate adoption, secure renewals, and drive massive upsell/cross-sell growth.
- Become a Trusted Advisor: You must be equally comfortable deep-diving into infrastructure architecture with Engineers/Architects and presenting business value and ROI C-level executives (CIOs/CTOs).
- Champion Customer Success: Ensure our customers are winning. Work closely with our customers to understand their long-term roadmaps and ensure Lightbits is embedded in their future growth.
- Collaborate Internally: Serve as the voice of the customer within Lightbits. Partner tightly with our Customer Success Engineering (CSE) and Product teams to remove roadblocks, deliver tailored solutions, and provide real-world feedback for our product roadmap.
- Engage & Travel: Maintain a highly visible presence with your customers. Be prepared to travel frequently across Europe (and occasionally globally) to build deep, face-to-face relationships.
Qualifications & Experience
- Technical Foundation & Credibility: You bring a strong technical background (B.S. in STEM or equivalent hands-on experience) with a solid understanding of storage architectures, cloud environments (CSPs and neoclouds), and data center infrastructure. While not required to be a deep subject matter expert, you can confidently engage with data center engineers, architects, and CTOs, earn their respect, and effectively translate technical requirements into prioritized outcomes with internal product teams.
- Experience: 5+ years of proven success in commercial/enterprise sales, strategic account management, and technical project management, ideally within the storage, IT infrastructure, or cloud sectors.
- Business Acumen: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and you know how to navigate complex organizational structures, expand relationships horizontally to other customer teams, build compelling business cases, and close high-value expansion deals.
- The "Winner" Mentality: You are highly energetic, self-motivated, and inherently driven by results. You don't wait for things to happen, you make them happen. When faced with a challenge, your instinct is to find a solution.
