3. Take Breaks
Schedule a few brain breaks throughout the day to make up for missing those office coffee and water cooler breaks.
Does:
- Going to a nearby coffee place
- Stepping outside your "workspace",
- Taking a walk - going to a nearby market
- Call a friend...
- Do exercise
Dont's:
- Organize your work email
- Do a chore in the house ( cleaning, washing etc.)
- More screen-time (tv, videos etc.)
- Start with something that will take a long time
- Finish up work/project that is outstanding/overdue
The list is endless on how you can "disconnect", even if it is only for a moment.
Keep in mind, that those small breaks should also be part of your schedule, although sometimes - depending on the stress level - you just need to take a moment "off schedule" for yourself.
