3. Take Breaks

Schedule a few brain breaks throughout the day to make up for missing those office coffee and water cooler breaks.

Does:

  • Going to a nearby coffee place
  • Stepping outside your "workspace",
  • Taking a walk - going to a nearby market
  • Call a friend...
  • Do exercise

Dont's:

  • Organize your work email
  • Do a chore in the house ( cleaning, washing etc.)
  • More screen-time (tv, videos etc.)
  • Start with something that will take a long time
  • Finish up work/project that is outstanding/overdue

The list is endless on how you can "disconnect", even if it is only for a moment.

Keep in mind, that those small breaks should also be part of your schedule, although sometimes - depending on the stress level - you just need to take a moment "off schedule" for yourself.
