Job Description
- As a Junior European News Editor, you will assist in delivering insights and briefings on current issues and events to our client on a daily basis. Your main focus: Spain.
- You will learn how to monitor international news reporting (online, print, social, TV and radio) with the help of our tool and conduct research selecting relevant topics and issues.
- You will compile media reviews and briefings and edit news tickers – and assess what’s important.
- You will work in close contact with the communications team of our globally operating client and proactively supply them with relevant news.
- You will have excellent command of the English and Spanish language (in writing and in spoken language) and ideally good skills in one other language (French, Greek, Italian, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Turkish or another European language).
- You will have an innate sense of language and can create concise summaries.
- You are interested in global events and follow current debates in politics, society, and the business world. You ideally already have a degree in political sciences, the humanities or linguistics or are currently working towards this goal.
- Knowledge of Spanish politics and current events at both national and international level is crucial for this role.
- It is particularly useful if you already have some practical experience in editorial work, journalism or in compiling press reviews and databases.
- You have excellent Office 365 skills. Working with new IT programs and tools is no problem for you.
- It’s no trouble for you to work early mornings, late evenings or at night from time to time.
