Position Title: Junior Data Scientist (Real World Data)

Location: Freiburg, Germany or remote

These insights play a crucial role in facilitating external control arms, conducting adjusted comparison analyses, offering HTA support, generating business intelligence, and beyond.

What you will be doing:

You will work within a dynamic international team and independently after the induction phase. We value collegial and open communication very highly. In doing so, you will primarily deal with the following main topics:


  • Development and implementation of biostatistics methods and advanced analytics
  • Cleaning, preprocessing, and analysing real world data to extract meaningful patterns and trends in consultation with Senior Data Scientist.
  • Development of ETL and analysis pipelines
  • Harmonization and standardization of data models
  • Build and maintain robust and efficient code for data quality monitoring, preprocessing, analysis and machine learning applications.
  • Collaboration between departments and with clients to identify data processing and visualization requirements and implement automated solutions.
  • Create data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration on publications


Your Qualifications:


  • Strong background in Mathematics, Statistics, Bioinformatics or a related field (Master degree

Ideally with experience in the healthcare sector and handling of patient level data

  • Very good communication skills including presentation and moderation
  • Programming experience with at least one common programming language and tools such as Python, R, R/shiny, Java, Docker, etc,
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience with version control systems
  • Ability to work in a changing and agile environment with international collaborations
  • Fluency in English
  • Preferred:

Fluency in German
