Summary Of The Role

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for identifying and qualifying sales opportunities for Finalsite, the leader in community engagement solutions for K-12 districts and schools worldwide. This position is often the “welcoming face” or “front door” of our company and lays the foundation for how we conduct our business. BDRs are crucial to our growth strategy and contribute greatly to our sales pipeline. Finalsite has recently doubled in size and continues to grow as we are looking for passionate, positive, driven and determined individuals to join our team!

LOCATION

100% Remote - Anywhere within the UK

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Utilize email, phone, social media, and other channels acceptable by GDPR (or country to country guidelines) to build relationships with decision-makers and generate interest in our products.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain and track leads, ensuring a consistent and robust pipeline of prospects. Conduct account discovery by phone or video to collect new account intel. Strategize with assigned sales partner(s) and global team on prospecting list segmentation and messaging.
  • Product Expertise: Present our website and communication solutions in a way that speaks to the specific needs of schools in different regions. Understand regional limitations by product.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment on messaging and strategy. Participate in global sales team and business development meetings.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about global education trends, competitive landscapes, and local regulations to identify potential opportunities. Assist in driving attendance for local Finalsite industry events.
  • Lead Response: Service Inbound Leads in a timely manner (preferably in 15 minutes or less)
  • Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed targets for prospecting, lead generation, and qualified opportunities.
  • Support: Perform any additional duties that support the business development team like lead routing, maintaining data integrity, and mentoring new hires.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years experience in sales, marketing, or other customer-facing roles.
  • Language Skills: Native or fluent English speaker, with the ability to understand and adapt to regional English language subtleties and communication nuances across cultures and continents. Bilingual a plus.
  • Cultural Awareness: Strong understanding of cultural differences and how to approach business development within diverse markets.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Technology Savvy: Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), email marketing platforms, and other prospecting tools.
  • Self-Starter: Comfortable working independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision. Resourceful, endlessly curious, and a go-getter mindset.
